I won't be OC'ing this rig as I want to keep it ultra reliable and will use the onboard graphics as a failsafe if the gfx card I fit, ever goes down so, I've chosen the H67 mobo..
However, I will be adding the following to the list so, I need a PSU that will be up to the job without costing an arm and a leg..

To be added:.....MSI ATI Radeon HD 5850, second HDD and SSD

Your suggestions very welcome!

And you had to RMA a Antec a week before that, so what do we deduce from this? PSU killer?:p

Thanks stulid.

It's a pity about the 750 being OOS...it's better value than the 650 for the extra pounds as you say, which is why I went for it!

I notice the second link you've posted here refers to the same one ( XFX 650), were you referring to the Bequiet 530? Would that do the job for me?

yes I was, my bad, and its got plenty of power for this system with a single 5850.

I could bombbard you with power draw charts from various websites, but just trust me, 530w is plenty, and headroom to spare.

both great units, The Antec has nicer braided cabling, the Bequiet is just lots of individual wires.

Well, if they are both similar units and have plenty of capacity for what I need, I might as well save a few quid and get the Bequiet!

Hold up.

If you aren't overclocking, with the K series chip?

Aha! I agree it's a waste not using the 2500k for oc'ing BUT, I intend to swap the mobo into another base unit later in the year and drop a 2300 or 2400 in to build my second/backup computer. I'll then put a new P67 mobo and the 2500k into the current build with a decent gfx card and then I can OC.

Presumably, the mobo chips will also be sorted by then... so two birds with one stone!

I'd really like to build both units together but, it will exceed my budget and I'd rather wait and get the best when I can, as it will last me longer in the end.
