I am sure many of you have seen my computer specs already, however I had been saving up for a long time towards a "PC fund" and I still have about £200 left in there. Is there anything that you would add to my system that would 'complete it'? I will give you the entire lowdown of specs including peripherals.

- CPU: Intel Core i7 980X 4.10GHz (and @ stock as well, completely stable!)
- Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard
- RAM: Corsair Dominator GT 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-16000C8 2000MHz Triple Channel Kit
- Cooler: Prolimatech Megahalems Performance CPU Cooler with 2000RPM Sharkoon Silent Eagle 120mm Fan
- Artic Cooling MX-3 Thermal Compound
- Palit GeForce GTX 580 1536MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card X 2
- Asus Xonar Xense Sound Card + Sennheiser PC 350 Xense Edition Headset
- Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache
- OCZ Vertex 2E Bigfoot 120GB 3.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive
- Antec 1200 Twelve Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black
- Corsair Professional Series™ Gold AX1200 High Performance 1200W Power Supply
- BenQ G2420HDBL 24" Widescreen LED Monitor - Black
-Logitech G19 Keyboard
-Logitech G9x Mouse
- Qpad heatoN XL Gaming Mouse pad

The rig feels pretty complete to me already, just wondering if you guys have any last minute touches you would make?

I just wanna thank many of you for giving me helpful suggestions on what to add to my rig and how to correctly set it up, I also wanna thank OCUK for being as good as ever at delivering me my goods.

Thanks guys.

Moar case fans and a fan controller or something? I dunno, looks like a bit of a beast to me, I'd leave it for a bit.

Actually, thinking about it, how about a 2nd monitor?

How about going sandy brdige for a much cheaper cost and almost as much performance benefit and having even more money left over.

Or failing that wait until socket 1356 and them processors come out, I would highly advise against buying a 980x setup unless you are doing heavily threaded ap work or just want to have the biggest e-shlong

My desk isn't big enough for 2 monitors! and I suppose I could get a fan controller, I just have control of my fans at the back of my 1200 case. I mean if you think its a better idea to just save the money for something else in the future (Not sure what that'd be, I don't think my 580s SLI will be insufficent anytime soon!)

Wow nice Rig for sure! Seems you are kitted out. Honestly, save the money or buy a good headset to go with it. Good choices Roccat Kave, Logitech G35, Corsair HS1 (but for your soundcard wait for HS1A) :)

Thanks for the suggestion : ) Isn't the Asus Xonar Xense Sound Card + Sennheiser PC 350 Xense Edition Headset a match made in heaven though? Would getting an HS1A be just as ideal? I was under the impression that the senheiser xsense edition headphones were tuned spcificly to work well with the Asus xonar soundcard? Probably just me losing to marketing speil!

Senheisers are epic, really wouldn't get another headset tbh.

I'd save the money until you need an upgrade which will probably be in, like, 10 years or something :D

Yeah I was thinking save it, their really is nothing you can do to it other then add 3D capability but that would mean buying another monitor and 3D just isn't that important to me to want to do that. So I will just save up for my next big rig, whenever that is!

You never know, might save up for some watercooling after i'v had enough chit chat about it, and read up on how to do it : )

I assume you have a DVD writer, although it isn't listed. Have you thought of a Blu-ray drive? Or another Bigfoot for RAID-0 maybe?

As others mention, your rig is pretty much complete :D but you could add other peripherals such as "All-in-one" printer/scanner or 5.1 speakers for when you aren't using your headphones...

Have a big sony 40" Bravia 3DTV for my blurays! Yes I do have a DVD-rewrither and I don't use speakers, I'm a headphone guy when it comes to gaming : ) All-in-one printer/scanner I guess could be a nice novelty but I don't think I'll use it that much...

Sorry!! I know your trying to help and I really appricate it! I don't mean to swing away all your ideas!!! Raid 0 could be a good idea.. could be a very very good idea! I might just do that : ) In laymens term, advantages of Raid 0? The reason why I am so onboard with maybe doing this is because with my X58-UD7 has a feature in the bios called xtreme harddrive and apprently with just one click it sets me up a Raid0 with ease.. (We will see if it really does do what it says on the tin!)

I'm afraid I'm no expert on RAID and don't use it myself. Iirc with RAID-0 your system will access both drives at the same time and therefore you would see an increase your read/write performance accordingly. E.g. maximum read speed for a single Vertex2 120Gb is quoted as 285MB/s, so theoretically 2 of them in RAID would give you 570MB/s.

From what I've read, its not clear if you would get that level of performance increase in everyday usage and of course your single SSD will be very fast to begin with, so it might not be worth the upgrade. I beleive there are also some issues with running TRIM in a RAID configuration.

Suggest you do some more research before buying. Have a look at this for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_RAID_levels#RAID_0

Raid0 is barely noticable in day to day use, especially as you already have an SSD.

+1 to the pictures request though, I want to see what I'll never be able to afford :D
