Approximate Repair Cost for Bumper Scuff

You don't need to worry about getting his insurance details, just give his reg to your insurers and let them sort it out.

As for being easier than going through the insurance I don't see how.

When I had someone back into my 306 the insurance company arranged for a car to be dropped off at my place of work, gave me a courtesy car to use and covered all of the repairs for 4 years (or was it 5... I forget) none of which would have happened if I had let them sort it outside of insurance which is what they hinted at wanting to do.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I'm just scared stiff of doing anything through my own insurance company, i've heard so many horror stories of people who were not at fault ending up losing their NCB because their insurance company was unable to hold the other party to account etc etc.

Getting his details from askmid and going direct to his insurer seems like a fairly straightforward way of going about things ?

Sent him an email last night telling him to get in touch asap before I ring the police to get his insurance details, no reply so far. Both his home line and mobile now say the number cannot be reached ?! I'm amazed if he's gone to the effort of barring his lines for the sake of a couple of hundred quid.
