Hi all,

I recently splashed out on a new rig. I bought a Razer Carchesis and plugged it in to the back of the motherboard's onboard sound input.

The sound is clear and crisp but the volume is particularly low. It is audible but it just does not go very high at all.

I have made sure that the sound settings are at 100% in Windows and the in-line volume control is up to the maximum.

Help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Have you made sure the jack is pushed in fully ?

Have you adjusted the volume in the Realtek HD Audio Manager ? ( not the windows sound manager )

I've got the UD4 and the onboard is very easy to set up and sounds fine.

Yeah the jack is definitely all the way in.

I don't have the Realtek HD Audio Manager in my control panel. I have seen this on many systems though.

I had the same problem with my ud7, i then loaded the realtek audio utility from the driver disk and set up the speakers by pulling each jack and tell the utility what it was , sound then ok
