Can we have some clarification on B-Grade warranties please?

I recently purchased a b-grade GTX 570 that stated it had a 2 year warranty in the description but after typing 'b grade warranty' into the search box on here I'm a little worried as there seems to be a lot of conflicting information in regards to the length of the warranty regarding b grade components, recently here a chap says,

"It won't come with a 2 year warranty, OcUk are lazy with updating the descriptions of the b-grade items. Customers are just supposed to know they come with 3 month warranty..."

Is this true?

What are the exact terms and conditions when it comes to b grade stock?

IT is 90 days on b-grade, however very good advice, take screenshot as a proof, and they must honor it, if not, you can open thread and angry public will support you ;)

Well I did screen grab it just in case but not I'm sure if they would have honer it though, they should really make sure they update the warranty information on b grade components if it really does only comes with 90 days, it costs a fortune sending these things back and it's very confusing for customers.

In This scenario best option is contacting them, maybe provide screen too.
As to update, completely agree, sometimes b-grade info is so outdated.

Well I just gave them a call and they say it has 90 days warranty with OcUK and the warranty with the manufacturer remains, anyone know what Palit's warranty is is like becuase I've just had a look on their site and it says,

FOR END-USERS
If you did not purchase Palit's products directly from us, please contact with your direct vendor for RMA service.

Has anyone on here ever done an RMA with Pailt direct before as an end-user?

EDIT -

Palit - Hong Kong RMA Base - RMA via retailer only - 2 Year Warranty (Depends which retailer you bought it from as to the service you'll get.)

and here from rjkoneill,

• Palit /Warranty - warranty subject to reseller policy *usually 12 months*

So as you can see it's quite confusing as I don't think Palit offer an RMA to EU end users so if the card is sold with an advertised 2 years warranty but only 90 days are covered by OcUK who is responsible for the reaming manufacture warranty?

Palit RMA isn't too bad from what I've heard, however it's a gamble as to how much of the manufacturers warranty you actually have left on the card. If it's an old card which has been sent back and refurbished then I'm not sure how much warranty it will have left.

Where have you heard that?, I'm interested to know of anyone in the EU who has dealt with Palit direct for an RMA becuase their site seems to indicate it's down to the reseller in this region at least.

Right, all sorted it seems,

Spoken to a helpful chap in the RMA department and he said that if Palit don't offer an RMA service to the End User then they will RMA it for me so I guess everything is all cool.

Did you actually clarify with him whether it would be 2years cover?

I'd be concerned about the length of the warranty, as I'm pretty sure Palit would want proof of purchase, wouldn't they? If no one knows the remaining warranty, then this would indicate no one has a proof of purchase?

Yes, he said the remainder of manufacture warranty would be dealt with by them, they will deal with any RMA's on my behalf acting as an intermediary I guess.

Glad to hear that, hope they really do offer you that service if anything does go wrong after 90 days. not sure if I'm allowed to link other forums on here but have a look around for 'Palit RMA service' and I'm sure you'll be able to find some other examples of people sending cards back to them.
