Got an Interview at my local jessops store as a part time sales advisor tomorrow.

This is my first real job interview and was just looking for advice/tips of what to expect? And what sort of questions they may be asking? Any advice appreciated as I'm reasonably nervous :p Planning to dress smart (shirt, smart trousers and black shoes)

Obviously I aim to be passionate, friendly, punctual and come across as having good people skills.

Thanks

Definitely not jeans under any circumstances and a proper collared shirt is a must for any customer facing role - you should look presentable.

Other than that just be calm, confident and communicate well.

It will help if you know something abount photography, but if you're not an expert its too late to cram much in there today!

Shirt, tie, trousers, shoes. Even if it is just Jessops I find it's always best to overdress.

Ok Ok, reconsidering my clothing choice :p

Will wear a shirt, smart trousers and smart shoes.

Bit of a longshot but, any here worked for jessops or been for an interview before?

I wonder if they'll show you how to close up the shop and put the security grill down...I hear its all in the shutter speed.

Puns: not my strong point

jeans

Hi, first of all GOOD LUCK....

Do not wear jeans as said by many, at the very least try to match what the staff wear...not jeans!! if you feel daft wearing a tie then a smart plain open shirt will do, make sure its a plain colour and quite light with it.

questions they may ask:
what would you do if a customer comes back in and is not happy with product?

how would you feel if you were with a customer and you were due to finish?

what would you do if a colleague said something racist?

what do you know about photography?

imagine you are the most senior person in the shop, how would you deal with an irate customer?

Have you ever worked as a team?

stuff like that for shop work....
