Ok, quick question. I bought a Asus Xonar Xense + Sennheiser PC350 bundle a few months ago, and one of the products has gone faulty.

But I tried to repair the headset (thinking that was the problem), it turned out it was the sound card.

Anyway, got to RMA both the headset and sound card back to OcUK. I just wanted to clarify about the warranty on bundles.

I should have two seperate warranties with each manufacturer, even if they are bundled together (in the same box). Is this correct? I just want to check where I stand.

So if the Sennheiser warranty is void (modified etc), this should unaffect the Asus warranty on the sound card?

I'm just getting my facts straight before I send this back to OcUK for RMA. If OcUK look at the headset, I know they will try and void the warranty because of the headset, and try and charge me and send it back.

But I am right to argue that the two products have seperate warranties?

Just RMA the sound card, unless you are asking for a refund you can just get the sound card replaced.

Don't send the headphones back at all, it's not necessary and as you say, would be warranty void anyway.

Well I contacted OcUK and say said because it is a bundle, I would have to send back both sound card and headset.

Are you talking about sending back to OcUK or straight to Asus? Just to clarify.

Every product comes with it's own warranty and legally has to be fit for purpose, being bought with another item has no effect on this. You always have the option of sending something back to the manufacturer, but you only actually have to deal directly with the distributor if you so wish.

Tbh, ocuks rma is so good very few deal directly with manufacturers, several of which (blooming ocz) only have rma centres in places like the Netherlands.

Trying to sort out RMA again.

This is the response I got:

Please send both patrs of the package as it's a bundle it would get replaced/ refunded by manufacturer as a bundle they will not deal with it without both parts.

so send it all back for a new one or a refund. have you done anything to the second part?

Thats what I thought until I got this email.

"The item was shipped incomplete to confirm the fault we need both parts as James Bailey told you.

Regards,

james Gane"

Don't understand how you need both parts, maybe they need some 1/4" headphone or an adapter, but thats hardly my problem.

thought it was getting somewhere, wondered why there was no update on the RMA.
