Mark, I've got some Jag porn for you.

I'll upload some pics on Saturday once the car has been delivered.

You drove to the sale in a Bentley, drove the Jag back and was impressed.

Pretty much sums up how impressive that Jag must be!

Hell of a lot of car for the cash.

Not a huge fan of the interior or the front - but that is utterly bargaintastic refinement.
Not much more than good X-type money, and it's a much nicer car.

Mark, what do you reckon to the selling price of this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160538682897

I was pretty tempted, for the crack.

That looks a good 1700 quid to me.

Dosent matter about the replacement engine he made such a meal of though, its just as likely to die from the worse problem, death by timing chain, but still what a car for 1700 quid.

I put those X308s in 2 categories now, i call them the haves and the have nots.
Those with all the things i call essential done, and those without.

Ie, in my mind its worth spending 4-5-6k for a minter because i love those cars and its now not worth buying a cheapy to keep.

Normal auction or one of your 'special' sales? :D

Good going though. That sort of money usually only seems to net you a decent early one. Keeping it for your collection?

Nah, i dont like these enough for the collection, but i am going to sell that convertible XK i got and get a different one, that'll teach me to buy them on the phone unseen :)

What's wrong with it?

I cant put my finger on it but its not what i wanted, if i didnt know better i would say its had a smack at some point and its just not quite right.

Iv put 4 new tyres on it and had it all set up properly, its just not driving right. Iv had lots of Jags and this just aint right.

The next step towards perfection is 1500 quid on new disks pads and suspension, which if it dosent cure means iv spent 2200 quid on it and im not sure it will cure it.

Just one of those things, no reflection on the man it came from, it was as described, its just not right.

I'l keep the "JAG" plate and jog it on, go and look first this time :)

Chuffing hell that's good value for money, even though the front is damn ugly.

I was about to say I'd give you £3500 for it... then saw the gearlever :(.

Looks great for the money Mark, nice one!

Spoted an 09 plate X-type yesterday in that lovely metallic red Jaguar do, looked fantastic imho, must be getting old.......

Looks nice Mark. Give me a shout when you move it on and if I have sold my XJ I might have that. At a special forum rate of course :-)
