Right, new place doesn't have a tumble drier... We have a washing line outside and could hang clothes up inside on one of those drier rack things. My gf sais about putting/hanging damp or wet clothes in the airing cupboard (where the boiler is)... Surely this would create damp in the long run?

What do you guys without one do?

Hire the Red Arrows and ask them to fly around with your washing tied to the back, or use some common ****ing sense FFS.

We put ours on a drying rack by the window with the vents open. depends on your layout really, we have quite an open plan flat so there is plenty of air flow though

Whats wrong with just using a clothes rack indoors when its raining and the clothes line outside when its not?

Airing cupboards are for... ...airing. Not drying. They're great for getting already mostly dry stuff like towels, properly mega-dry. Putting wet stuff in there isn't a good idea.

Get the drying rack out and put it somewhere warm and ventilated.

Winter - late Aug - March - Clothes horse beside the radiator

Summer & when sunny - Cloths outside.

When i had a drier i didn't like using it. Also its a waste of money when you have the heating on. Plus it will get some moisture into the air.

You really cant beat clothes dried outside. Fresh yum. They rock!!

My drier packed up just before Xmas, a 10 yr old Zanussi, replacement heating elements are dearer than a new drier! Spent £20 on a drying rack as an emergency measure & things are going fine, takes a couple of days but saves electricity.

Yeah I don't really see the need to purchase a tumble drier you can just do as good a job on you radiator and then outside weather permitting.
