Hey guys, finally got my third monitor, and my mate has just given me a trial of starcraft :) happy days.

Well, I go into starcraft, and I cant find a resolution higher than 1080p... (I'm running 6088*1080 with bezel correction.

Now this would be a little odd, just having the same image on each of the 3 screens, so I was just wondering how to set up eyefinity on SC2? It works fine on most games by just turning the res up :)

Cheers guys ;)

Does SC2 even support it? Wouldnt it give you a serious advantage? Blizzard are usually pretty strict about these things particularly when it comes to online multiplayer/battlenet.

Yeah I'm pretty sure Blizzard done as much as they could to stop players using multiple screens on SC2 because it would give a huge advantage.

right. i guess i had misconceptions about how eyeinfinity worked but surely this would be the case in any multiplayer game then? i assumed eyeinfinity produced the same overall area but just very much enlarged, as with different resolutions.

I dont think it would really be that much of an advantage in something like an fps, in fact I would probably find it distracting.

well with eyefinity the ratio is different (much wider), if the image area was the same it would look all squashed/stretched.

With eyefinity running as far as the game/computer is concerned you have one screen at whatever res the eyefinity runs at.

Nah it's pretty beasty on BC2 and MOH, but not on mw2 =[

The former actually create extra peripheral vision, whereas MW2 just stretches the image out, which looks terrible :(

As for SC2, still can't get the resolution sorted, just replicates the image over 3 screens :(

I looked into this recently (December time IIRC).

Eyefinity / Nvidia surround used to work with Starcraft2, although a modified .ini file was required. Someone over on widescreen gaming forums created a nice little tool to do the modifications. Unfortunately a patch back in September stopped this working.

You can check out the thread here.

Rather rubbish that this has been disabled. I can play in a window I guess, but I was looking forward to some shiny 3600x1920 SC2 :/
