Evening Gents,

The Sealey battery charger that we use in the workshop is pretty ancient!

Let's put it this way, you can leave it charging a battery for an hour and when you go back you can here the battery boiling away!

When I worked at MB, they used CTEK Chargers, reading the reviews it leads me to the conclusion that these must be the best on the market - or certainly for what they retail at.

Anyway looking through their site http://www.ctekchargers.co.uk/productindex.php I have decided that maybe the XS7000 is the one to go for?

As all it will ever charge is car battery and never any monster 500ah beasts!

What do you reckon?

Thanks

I've just ordered a XS7000, think that'll be more than adequate for everything I'd use it for.

We've got the MXS 7000. Good little thing! :)

One thing to note, as I mentioned here, is that the M100 is exactly the same as the MXS 7000, so if you can find one cheaper than the other just get whichever is cheapest!

I bought an XS7000 for £78.50 inc del and VAT.

Happy with that at that price, hopefully should save me a few quid on batterys too!

I use the XS3600 on the Exige, works a treat - £29 off the 'Bay.

If its just to recharge/condition a standard car battery, not sure why you'd want anything more than that model - the above does Bike batteries also.

Last diesel Beemer I had, had a 130ah battery!

Model I've ordered has 8 modes, and it's only £80!
