Im looking at the ATI Cards...

Somebody spec me a decent card and recommend a power sup wattage :D

current spec:

Win7 64bit

i7 @ 2.80Ghz

6Gb Ram DDR3

Ati HD 5570 1024mb

Thanks

The OP might be running a socket 1156 Core i7 meaning that their motherboard might not be able to do symmetrical Crossfire.

I would also suggest looking at a pair of HD6870 1GB cards too as this will cost around £350.

I would get one 6950 and unlock the shaders along with a nice beefy PSU, with the option of adding a second 6950 further up the line.

Thanks all

Thanks for your opinions guys

Shame it turned into and ati Nvida battle

After some YouTube Reviews and a bit of Google
And ofcourse your help allso

I Decided to **** it and chose...

XFX 6970

and

Corsair Modular 750

I do agree that best bang for buck would have been the 6850 models
but then im only going to Oc it to a 6970 after all.

now i can Oc the 6970 and be happy (if at all)

Perhaps this is flawed logic

But im not going to have the cash to splash again any time soon

Thanks again

.:Blidfaith:.

PSU is overkill, but will future proof if you decide to add a second, and yes, that logic is up the pole!

6950 for 210 with a three year warranty- if you werent overclocking fairplay but you say you are- I'd reconsider as in your reasoning you just made the perfect case for bagging a 6950!

Sounds to me like he just wants the peice of mind which having a true 6970 will give him without all the flashing and clocking. Some people like to do this even though the 6950 is still the way i would have went. He won't have any complaints with what he got for his money though as 6970 + corsair 750 are nice parts.
