Prior to installing my new heat sink I did some final research into the best method of application, someone suggested that the 'pea sized blob' method was the best, allowing the pressure of the heatsink to evenly spread the paste around the face of the heat sink...
However, applying artic silver 5 (or any other paste?) to the titan fenrir with its heat pipes showing means that the pea blob method is not effective.
How should I approach this now?
Also should the fan be facing the top of my case or down toward the bottom? My case is a cooler master elite 430 with 1x140mm inward a the front, 3x120mm outward (top, back and on the side)
