Hi Guys,

I will be running:

i5 2500k at 4.6ish
Xfire Radeon 6950s (unlocked to 6970)
2 x HDD
1 x SSD
1 x Fan Controller
1 x DVD writer
1 x Asrock Extreme4 P67 Mobo
8gb Corsair RAM
1 x Wireless Card
1 X Xonar DG soundcard with Headphones
2 x Akasa Vipers on a Megahalems Rev B

All of this in a Silverstone FT02 with the Ap181 penetrator fans.

My question is will a Corsair AX750 Gold run all this or should I go with the AX850 which I think will be ok.

Any feedback will, as always, be much appreciated.

Cheers

The AX750 watt is perfect.

an i7 system with 6950CF uses 509watts under maximum load

Cheers Stulid,

Will save £20 or so by sticking with the AX750.

Now just need to work out if the Xfire adaptor will reach between the 2 cards on the Asrock board. There is quite a gap between them!

Thanks for looking, no mention of Xfire bridges unfortunately.

Just read the pdf manual and found this:

'Connect two Radeon graphics cards by installing CrossFire Bridge on
CrossFire Bridge Interconnects on the top of Radeon graphics cards.
(CrossFire Bridge is provided with the graphics card you purchase, not
bundled with this motherboard. Please refer to your graphics card vendor
for details.)'

I already had a HIS 6950 which came with the short bridge. The 2nd 6950 I have ordered is the MSI one. Most other MSI GPUs I have read reviews on or looked at have the longer bridge in the box.

Hopefully this is the case with this one and I will be sorted. :)
