I am looking for a 37" plasma full 1080p tv.

After a bit of digging I cannot find one which is leading me to believe they dont exist ?

If they dont does anyone have any LCD reccomendations for the same spec ?
2 hdmi outs (3 would be nice)
sound quality of absolutely no importance as its all piped through my av reciever.
must be 37"

currently have a Hyundai Vvuon A321 which I have to say i am not impressed with Picture quality wise, handy that I can completely remove the speakers though.

Don't think you can get 37" 1080p Plasma's.

You're only option if it has to be 37" & 1080p is to go the LCD route.

If you do have the room, as others have suggested, 42" is the minimum size you're looking at.

AFAIK, the only company making a 37" plasma is Panasonic. They only make it in 1024x720 resolution.

If you wanted 1080p because you thought it was the only way to get smooth 24p playback from Blu-ray then I have some good news. The Panasonic TX-P37X20B does support 1080p24. If there's some other reason for 1080p then you're out of luck.

Incidentally, the size difference between 37" and 42" TV in the Pana range is just 10cm in width and about 6cm in height. That's the whole TV excluding the stand.

useful numbers

As already said i'd just get the 42" to get you more choice.

Main use is xbox and watching films. (dont have blu-ray yet but do have the xbox hd dvd player), I do watch a bit of standard def TV as well but not much. (still using an aerial as well  )

37" is the max size I can fit in the space I have hence me saying must be 37".

I would absolutely LOVE a 42", my Bros 42" panny plasma has one of the best pictures I have seen, gladiator looks absolutely stunning.

I am really after the best picture I can in a 37" for as little money as possible (yeh i know same old cliche of wants everything prepared to pay nothing) is that panasonci plasma going to give a better picture than some of the 1080p LED/LCDs on the market ?

When I move house sometime next year a 42" will be purchased anyway and the 37" relagated to the bedroom but for now would like to improve my viewing pleasure as much as I can.

Thanks for the comments so far guys if you could just elaborate on what you have said so far as well as making it relevant to this post it would be much appreciated.

have you measured up the different sets ? are you sure a 42" isn't going to fit.

In which case have a look at the Panasonic TX-P37X20B

1024 x 768 however. Not full HD. All of panasonics full HD ones are 42" or more.

Samsung don't make any 37" plasmas (not currently anyway) and neither do LG

The 1024 x 768 panasonic is about your only choice.

Either that or go LCD. Then you'll have plenty of 1080p TVs to choose from. You've got to compromise on one or the other if you can't compromise on size.
