Saw this the other day in a leading retail chain for £10; I've heard mixed reviews on it and wondered if it's worth picking up for a tenner? What do you think, is it really that bad or is it just the die-hard Metroid fans complaining over the fact she speaks in it? ;)

i did the same with Smash bros Brawl, was a bit umming and arrrrring about them, same as you got , it was on offer for £10 brand new, picked it up and loved it, i think if you get it for £10 and dont like it then its not a big loss, where as £30-£40 is a bit more to say the least to lose on a game you might play once or twice

It's a decent game unless you happen to be one of the crazies that downrate it simply because it has too much story telling in it (lolwut).

Prime Trilogy is arguably superior but your chances of finding that for £10 new are roughly zero.

The reason the story gets slammed is because it is at odds with all the lore that has been built up over the past 20 years. The Samus in this game is nothing like the Samus in the past games.

Well considering in most of the past games she never says a word and the entire story is conveyed via text it's a bit hard not to seem different.

In all the past stories she has been an ass-kicking independent badass. Now all of us a sudden she's mooning over some guy and has big motherhood issues.
