Bags of crisps + air = I am disappoint!

That's marketing for you.
They should be stopped though, in terms of waste packaging it's shocking.

Yup, my thoughts exactly. I'm not bothered about the size or weight of the contents - I just find the packaging to be misleading and wasteful. You DO NOT need 75% of the packet empty to ensure the contents aren't crushed in transit, either.

To protect them, small air pocket and you can easily crush the packet sides together before air pressure builds any sort of resistance, oh know what the weight is that is what matters.

You got to think of the size of the vegetable they ar slicing.

Potato is round and can be quite large. A carrot is skinny, and it shrinks more, same as a parsnip. They are long, so when sliced, and lay side by side, it takes up a lot less space.

Little update for crisp fans:

I wrote a quick e-mail to Tyrell's on Thursday and a box of free packets have turned up this morning. Very nice of them. Guess what, though? All the bags are only 20% full :D

Still... kudos to them for sending free crisps!

So, if you send a separate email complaint for each of the packets from that free box, you could get a free box for each one. Keep repeating, and never run out of free crisps! :D

I always found the big bags of Kettle crisps to have plenty of crisps in!

Black pepper, ummmm.

Me too and sainsburys had them on offer :D. Sea salt and balsamic vinegar are the best although the steak ones are pretty good (the ridged ones), just demolished half a bag om nom nom.

I personally don't understand why you care enough about 1 packet of crisps to make a thread :|

Seriously.

I don't know what has happened with this thread, but I know I sent an email in complaining when this thread first happened and I got 4 free packs of crisps (all gone now) so I am happy :D.
