Call of duty - pay to play online

They are really starting to poke at gamers to see their breaking point, but as long as people pay the more they get away with.
Hopefully, this will be a sort of last straw or gamers revolt and it flops.

I honestly can't see them offering more than has ever been released in online FPS history that's actually worth it, not to mention the possible segregation of players.
Good thing I don't play them :)

Hopefully, it'll be a total flop, then. They would have to implement an awesome game with a massive amount of features to get a sustained subscription base.

I don't know all the details but does anyone else find the idea of paying a monthly subscription for merely the ability to play multiplayer games which are hosted on your own system disgusting?

The level of greed we're seeing from some companys these days seems limitless, im starting to think it's a lucky accident we get as much as we do, if they could simply suck money out of people they would be more than happy to.

Well if some random financial analyst no one has ever heard of is 'certain to his core' then it must be absolutely true.

This is why we should hopefully be seeing some NPO developers coming out in the future that tailor to the needs of the gamer and not to a cashpile.

It's funny because it will still be popular. People will still pay to play without a doubt, look at what happened with MW2.. people claiming they won't buy it because of no dedicated servers yet people still buy it.

They are walking all over us, because they know they can.. they got away with it once and they probably will again.

Spot on. Could not agree more good sir!:D

After black flops they expect people P2P?
Roll on BF3, blow this **** out of the water and shove it up activisions arse, dickheads.
/rant over.

So not only will i have to spend between £30 to £40 to buy the the game but will also be required to pay a monthly subscription to play their latest hackfest.
Glad i never bought Mw2 or Blackops now.

It will succeed because no matter what you people (and other CoD fans) say, you still end up buying the games and playing them anyway.

Yep, it's not the company that annoys me, it's the people who keep buying their games. If people would stop buying their games, like we was supposed to do when this all started (MW2). We wouldn't be having this problem now.

I think there has been quite a lot of people able to resist buying black flops, i'll admit i personally bought MW2 hoping for something similar to 4 but slightly improved but it was never getting of to a good start with matchmaking.
Certainly will not be buying this.

Is it possible to hack the online to make it free to play like generate a subscription card? If so i'd love it if everyone pirated the game and did that, Activsion already ****ing me the **** off with what they did to WoW for monthly subscription to use an AH on your smart phone.
