CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ Plus on 2500k

Hi,
I have recently just built my first system and have bought myself a Hyper 212+ to put on my i5 as, from what I have read, the stock coolers aren't the best.
I am just wondering what kind of temps are good for safe, stable use and if AI suite is a good way of monitoring the temps.
Also, what kind of over clock should I expect to be able to get with this cooler as I know it's not top range but I was hoping it may be able to give a bit of a performance increase in CPU hungry games and applications.

I also have a i5 2500k and looking to buy that CPU cooler, what are you current idle/load temps with the new cooler on?

Sorry, Haven't actually received the cooler yet, just getting some information ready for when I fit it.
Just for info, according to AI suite I'm at 38c idle atm, haven't tested load.

ah ok np, when you do recieve the coolor, be sure to post your new temps on this post.

Undecided on this CPU cooler :confused:

Will do, personally I decided on this cooler as it seemed like a good cheap cooler to use while I have very little money, being a college student, as it seemed to do the job well. Probably will get something a bit more substantial in the future.

I'd recommend coretemp for monitoring temperatures, it will probably be more accurate than the AI suite.
