Hi everyone,

I'm currently in the market for 2 new front tyres for my Fabia. I currently have Toyo Proxes T1-R's on, and while they are a decent tyre you can definitely tell that they are mid range tyres and I feel there must be better out there.

If money was no object, which tyre would you say offers the best overall performance? The only exception I would make is that I'm not looking at semi slick trackday tyres.

After a quick browse I've came across PS3's, Rainsport 2's, GSD3's, etc. What would you recommend?

I think the tyre size is 205/45/16 83W.

Hi everyone,

You are either in the market for 2 new front tyres matching your rear tyres or you are in the market for 4 new tyres. You wouldn't go for a run in two different shoes, wtf would you want to have different tyres front and back on a VRS?

Mix and matching tyres is not on anymore, it stopped being cool together with whale spoilers on Novas, so about 10 years ago. Spread the word.

No not really. I wouldn't mix and match on the same axle, but front and rear I have no problem, especially as the fronts last 10k at best and the rears barely wear at all.

The Fabia has a very forward weight distribution, combined with the large amount of torque and FWD I'd rather have the best possible on the front axle as the requirements of the front is far higher than the rears.

I've seen them advertised as in stock on mytyres, must be old stock, but if they have been on a shelf that long they might not be as good as they once were.

Ling long tyres would be my choice, as seen by the 5 advantages of buying Ling long tyres.

best of all they won't bust your budget and improve driving skill, by way of springing surprising over steer and under steer on you.

End of the day Ling Long is the buyers choice.

I thought you could mix and match provided you changed both on the same axel, your front and rear wheels are under completely different forces anyway.
