There is a reason, but i can't explain without spoiling the story. There are some MAJOR plot spoilers during the introduction sequences just before that area in the video, so i would avoid watching anything on YouTube if you are interested in the storyline etc...

Unless it's a wind up, I can't see the point of rushing to download and play an unfinished game. And to finish the game so fast means you played it like those kids do when a new game comes out just to say " I FINISHED IT FIRST!" instead of taking your time, absorbing the detail, and enjoying it.

The game could be visually amazing from a pic ive seen of the console showing what settings get applied. In dx9 mode the top graphics mode (hardcore) everything except render quality goes to medium settings. Render quality goes to very high. So that means the rest of the options (12 of them) still have 2 more settings to crank for dx10 or dx11 mode.
Basically all the vids and pics people are impressed with are pretty average settings.

Why do I get the feeling that any single GPU card won't be able to max this, again.
Hard to say at the mo i suppose, this time around the game does match the actual video footage released by crytek. Last time around there were some suspect vids that got made reality a year or so later by modders. The jungle fight dx9 vs dx10 springs to mind
I was pretty meh about Crysis 2 but now its climbing my list of games to want
I bought crysis 1 and still want my money back, crappy pile of junk haven't even been able to bring myself to get though the first bit.
ah this answers a question. Last night was on guru3d checking for latest ATI drivers and in that forum section saw a dude with a thread asking for help as Crysis 2 kept crashing on him and I thought wtf - but such is life I guess.
i guess this shows why reviews arent really good for judging a game, [unless they are all bad]
i also think its the best fps ive ever played, not hard, but most fun, unlike say the film avatar, which was pretty but had a poor story, i thought crysis is/was beautiful and really fun, ive not played through a game more times than crysis and warhead full stop, all the different ways you can play, take youre time, or go through as quick as you can, its also the only game where all 7 buttons of my mouse are used, my fav bit is the suit mode switch, [hold button five and flick the mouse]

I haven't heard of such a major leak like this for a while. in the past I know some games have been leaked (famously HL2) but were a very early build. With C2 not so far away, it is possible this leak is almost, if not the same as, the retail build. It reads like it is a "developer build".

Yeah I am with you 110% there!! I have preordered at play, I almost downloaded the leak earlier, just out of curiosity, but cancelled the download after 10 mins! How about that for willpower!
I really believe a company who has puch so much effort into a game deserves my money, well done crytek!

It looks pretty good to me from that video. Maybe would be an idea for me to actually finish the first games though...
