Does anybody else hate carrying passengers?

Is it just me or is driving in great about a billion times nicer when your own?

It is something that I've only just realized. Generally speaking I really enjoy driving, but when ever I have passengers in my car that enjoyment tends to go completely out of the window. It is like I can almost feel them moaning about my car, my driving or my music and it seriously winds me up.

Maybe it is because when I'm own I focus on the enjoyment driving rather than what I'm driving (which isn't exactly the world most passenger friendly car). Maybe I'm subconsciously embarrassed of my car, I dunno.

I know, mega weird post, but it is something I thought I'd put up for discussion :p
 
Only if they have an issue with how I drive and I have to avoid using VTEC. My best passengers are the ones who stop mid-sentence when I hit VTEC and continue after I am done :D
 
Nope I enjoy people getting in mine, they usually compliment my car's condition, my driving style and music taste, are you a boyracer in a Corsa?
 
Taking passengers doesn't bother me much although if ever my mum is in the car I notice her phantom braking a good 5-10 seconds before I start to brake which usually makes me laugh.

I hate it because of the moaning about my driving ( some of them, others laugh or even shout to floor it every 2 mins, which is also very annoying tbh) .
I hate the moaning about music ( too loud, crap music, etcetc).
I don't like the rear passengers blocking the rear view, for example, I look in my rear view mirror and I see 2 heads sticking out, or I look in one of my outside mirrors and I see a drunkard leaning out the window puking... Or my blind spots, they're in the way of checking them too. Also because my Galant is lowered, I will scrape over every significant speedbump if I don't ''crawl'' over it when it's heavier with 4 passengers in...

1 passenger is usually great, someone to chat to, etc...
Once I get people in the back, I hate it.

So basically, don't like people whinging about my music, driving, and them blocking my view...

I can either listen to a passenger talk, or have music on...what gets most annoying is someone wanting me to do both! Its like I can't but I start to feel noticeable distracted when I would rather be concentrating on the road!

1) It's mostly about the volume actually, they turn it down without asking so they can talk...
2) It's never good, I drive calmly and one or 2 mates shout ''floor it'' every 2 secs or ''race them'', I go anywhere near 6000 rpm or take a corner quickly and a different mate starts moaning ''idiot, moron, drive calmly, I don't understand the fun in going fast, etc''.
3) Also a problem, my mates are pretty much all, erm MASSIVE compared to me, even the shortest of them is blocking the view...


Other things like me having to remind them not to smoke in my car every time is annoying, they keep trying.

Passengers in my car is fine. Parents in my car is awful. I mean, they never moan or anything about my driving, but it always feels like they're silently judging me.
 
I don't mind passengers as long as they accept my taste in music, choice if in-car temperature and they appreciate that I'm used to large vehicles and a 5 series really is a rocket powered go-cart compared to a Scania...... ;):D

Sounds like you need new mates to me, they all sound like knobs :p
 
Never had a problem with having passengers, I get to travel in comfort, listen to my own music and usually get to the destination in good time. And if it's a long drive I quite often get petrol money from them. :D

That said, never really had a problem being a passenger either. Maybe I'm just easy going. :p
