Music listening, movies. Open, closed, doesn't matter.

Prefer crisp sound over bassy (total lack of bass is not welcomed though).

Budget £25-30 (unless there's something better in sub-£30 range).

Choices:

Goldring DR50 - £22
Denon AH-D501 - £20
Arctic Sound P281 - £18

Looking for advice, cheers.

Not at that price range. Goldring are about the only headphone company which don't have extortionate prices in the UK :)

That's what I thought too, wanted to make sure before I buy.

On the side note, anyone has an idea when Goldrings will appear at OcUK's range?

Goldring DR50 TBH. Best headphones I've heard in that price range by a long way. Very crisp, clean and detailed sounding.

Edit: I saw some Superlux 668b in the UK for £25 about a month ago. Was tempted to try them but no sign of them at that price now.

The DR50s have gone up in price quite a bit too (you could get the for £10 new last year, which made them a complete no-brainer) but I think they're still just about worth it. There are a few uber cheap ones coming up on auction sites that might be worth looking out for though.

Yep, already did some research, watching a few auctions atm.

They'll still work out at £20+ and can be had for £25 new. Could be had for £13.50 in 2009 :( Goldring DR100 were £16 and Goldring DR150 - £30.

They're not for me btw, I'm quiet happy with my NS1000 and wouldn't downgrade in such way :p
