Hi there
I am one out of two lucky EVO owners to have had their car selected for R&D work by Forge Motorsport. They have a lot of sucess in fabricating parts for GTR's and now want to get involved on the EVO X scene too. The are aluminum fabrication and have an EVO X FQ-300 which they are developing a lot of parts on for 3-4 weeks. They then want my car after this for a week to make sure all the parts they designed easily fit onto another EVO X without need for re-jigging. They will also do before and after power runs to see if a 360 benefits at all.
The company doing the work tend to supply parts to tuners as are mainly a manufacturer, they are:-

They plan on doing the following and would appreciate if you guys can help in explain what each part does, I've taken a good guess myself so just either need you to let me know if I am right or wrong:-
Intake - Obvious, I guess they will just try an improved design.
Intercooler with hardpipes - Is this the same as an FMIC? If so how will it improve power etc?
Brake lines - Better brake pedal feel?
Clutch line - Not got a clue, what will this do?
Short shifter - This is so needed on the EVO, be nice to have short throw like the Subarus have.
Catch tank kit - What is this?
Coolant hoses - Yes for those who like a flash under bonnet?
Coolant tank - What is this?
Power steering tank - What is this?
BOV - Something to hold boost and give a more flutter/whoosh sound.
I am told the value of the parts and work is in the region of 3-5k and they will give me all my stock parts back as well. It will take them 3-4 weeks to develop the above on the FQ-300 and they will want my car for just a few days to make sure all fits fine and I get to keep everything they fit along with my stock parts. They shall be doing a before and after dyno at Powerstation but they will not be remapping.
Needless to say I am rather chuffed I get a load of parts I can sell on or if they make my car considerably better leave on and potentially increase its value.
Anyone here heard of Forge and know what some of the above kit does and what the benefits are?
