I've bought an Xbox 360

Well I never thought I would but with the deal on Xbox 360 250gb slims at the moment, it seemed rude not to. Going to get Alan Wake as my first game for it. I must admit, the UI seems very polished so far. I used my current games for windows account. Does that mean I've forfeited the one month free gold? Or is there a code somewhere? I will probably get some of the Halo games. TBH, I've never seen the big attraction of these but as FPS is my favourite type of game and they have such a big following, it has to be worth a look. I've been playing the Forza 3 demo today and will be buying that. Oh and I think there is a Forza 4 this year so will probably get that also.

Anything else a man with a PS3 and a PC should be buying for the Xbox? When a shop is selling the 250gb version for pretty much the same price as the 4gb version, I thought 'why not'

Gears 1 + 2 and Mass Effect 1+2 if you havent played them on PC, Dont expect much from Alan Wake though it was barely average at best imo

Get the Forza 3 Ultimate edition, totaly worth the price, you can get it for £13 or less, what type of games do you like?

Alan Wake is pretty good. It's a lot better at higher difficulty levels, as you can't coast through it so easily.

Get Shadow Complex off XBLA.

Into most types of games. Recently been playing some of the lighter RPG games. finished borderlands and about 17 hours into Fallout 3. I've seen Forza 3 ultimate for £11.86. Alan Wake is still the one I want. The Mrs isn't into games but loved Heavy Rain on the PS3. I know it's not really similar but she will probably like it. I probably won't get that many games for it with having the PS3 and PC but for how much it cost, it's just a new toy

Are there any earlier exclusives that might have passed me by?

Are all of the Halo games worth playing? I plan on making a start on those but I'll probably just get Alan Wake and Forza 3 for now.

Halo 3 + Halo rech, avoid ODST .. it was terrible

Only thing I can recommend is a noise cancelling headset! I have never heard anything as loud as a 360!

It seems fine so far BUT I haven't used the disc drive yet. Saying that, I'm pretty sure the 250gb will be enough to install every game I buy.

If you like light rpgs grab fable 2 and 3, both quite charming and other than Oblivion the only 'hardcore' games my mrs likes.

Perhaps you've only experienced the old ones, because the new S consoles are extremely quiet, especially with games installed to the HDD.

If you want a real Halo, pick up Halo 1 and Halo 2 (like £4 each) before you try any of the newer ones. The Old ones are miles better.
You can get ODST for £10 or something, even if it is just for the multiplayer disc with all the maps your £12 up and get a single player game that was different from the rest and i quite enjoyed it.

Forza is great, better than Gran Turismo IMHO. Fable 2 and 3 are good casual RPGs, Blue Dragon if you like old school jRPGs. Always thought Halo was a bit overrated got most of the way through 3 and just got too bored to carry on.
