Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow (Kojima)

And to say it doesnt follow on from the series, but isnt this suppose to be right at the very start of the whole castlevania timeline?? *spoiler?* And with the ending it pretty much gives you that....apart from when its set lol

This is a "reboot timeline" and seperate from the original games. The general plot and names of the characters in this will be very inconsistant if it was related.

Bought this on X360 a few days ago. Best looking 360 game to date by far :D

Cross between: Shadow Of The Colussus/God Of War3/Dantes Inferno/Unchartered 1. Gfx really are amazing in many places stunning especially the giant SOTC style bosses  also comes on 2 DVD's so a lot of content around 12GB worth.

Surprised Sony did not sue Konami as this game is almost an exact 1:1 SOTC clone  well worth buying if your a fan of these type's of games :D

You really think its the best looking 360 game to date by far?!?!? I thought the graphics look average compared to games which use the Unreal 3 engine.

Dead Space 2 also comes on 2 discs and I've finished that in 5 hours 30 minutes exact on hardcore. Space used = not indicative of game length

But Castlevania is known to be very long, just as an general play through. Upto 12 hours I was heard on a number of podcasts.

Look again it walks all over UT3 games even Batman AA. Check out the ShaderFX on the Titan bosses or the water for starters. More natural looking & more detail than UT3 plus all UT3 games look alike this looks more natural.

UT3.5 engine looks like a big improvement though so I look forward to games using that this year.

I bought this in december for £17.99 (might even have been november) and finally unwrapped it a couple of days ago, wow, what a total surprise!

I have only played the first 3 or 4 levels, but im really enjoying it, the graphics are amazing I thought, and Im finding it really immersive. The first thing it reminded me off when i knocked down a big tree was Ico, so it was no surprise that other people have noticed the similarity.

Well worth picking up.

This was my surprise game of 2010.

I say surprise because looking at the trailers I thought it looked very generic and boring. How wrong I was. Castlevania is an excellent game and great value for money. I'd agree with the guy who said the graphics were some of the best on 360 so far. The puzzles are taxing, the enemies cool and the game has a great story that draws you in and makes you want to keep playing, and you'll be playing for a while too as the game is very long (I've heard up to 20 hours). I'm very pleased I bought it and gave it a try in the end. One of the best games on 360 to date imo.
