Does anybody else hate carrying passengers?

Invader has been the best passenger i have taken out. Canning it with a bit of backend wobble and hewas just browsing his phone.

Don't mind taking passengers, mates, family, parents, all fine bar one.
My girlfriend.
Never stops complaining, too fast, too slow, too aggressive, too old manish, never can please her!
The way I feel comfortable taking corners she feels uncomfey and complains, and the way I have to corner to make her relax makes me feel on edge when doing it, doesn't feel right.

Everyone else I am fine with apart from her!

Only passenger i ever carry is the GF, and we always drive slowly and always without the stereo on.

So no, my passenger doesnt annoy me :p

Only if they have an issue with how I drive and I have to avoid using VTEC. My best passengers are the ones who stop mid-sentence when I hit VTEC and continue after I am done :D

I'd do the same in my S2000, gets them everytime.

Could also do it in the Mustang, pootling along at 40mph in 2nd gear and just floor it, most would grab things or scream, epic. :D

Is it just me or is driving in great about a billion times nicer when your own?

It is something that I've only just realized. Generally speaking I really enjoy driving, but when ever I have passengers in my car that enjoyment tends to go completely out of the window. It is like I can almost feel them moaning about my car, my driving or my music and it seriously winds me up.

Maybe it is because when I'm own I focus on the enjoyment driving rather than what I'm driving (which isn't exactly the world most passenger friendly car). Maybe I'm subconsciously embarrassed of my car, I dunno.

I know, mega weird post, but it is something I thought I'd put up for discussion :p

I'm not a fan of taking passengers to places. Just last week I told a fib whilst at a conference saying that I was using the opportunity to catch up with some uni friends rather than give someone a lift home (3 hour journey).

To be fair though they had already bought their return ticket and charged it to the company that had arranged the conference so I didn't feel too guilty.

Generally though I avoid giving people lifts if at all possible when it comes to work. Socially it is another matter but even then I prefer to be solo on a long trip.

So basically, don't like people whinging about my music, driving, and them blocking my view...

I have none of those problems.

1: Only two seats.
2: No stereo.
3: Can't hear a damn thing they say as they usually wear a helmet or the get drowned out by the wind noise/engine/exhaust.

It totally depends on the passenger for me, my car loving mates enjoy going for a hoon with me which is lucky as my scoob is no longer my daily driver and when I take it out it tends to be on quiet roads and at a pretty decent pace ;). Some of my mates are total wimps and have a go at for me for breaking the speed limit, overtaking, braking too hard and taking corners 'too fast'. This type of passenger doesn't get the offer of a lift from me too often...

I tend to drive a lot more conservatively with others in the car. I'm not a crazy racer or anything but I don't mind the car swaying a bit if you know what I mean.

When you've got other people you immediately feel like you should make the journey as comfortable as possible, despite them probably not giving a toss.

:D

I didn't even realise you were pushing it that hard, just sat their comfy and relaxed browsing the forums.

A bit of back end wobble never did phase Invader.

Provided it's either a car or a fine female's back end wobble, it's all good. :p

I can't feel a kick between revs in VTEC powered cars. Is that just me?

They do sound fantastic though.

Probably because you've only been out in i-vtec powered EP3's? The kick is more noticebable in the older B series Civics and Integras.

I think he was referring to just using the higher rev range, though - rather than the kick/cam changeover.

I can only have 1 passenger, which is normally the GF - she's perfectly fine, appreciates the induction noise :p More often than not gets excited when I put the top down :D

Although for the next few weeks I'll be a passenger, I quite like her driving, so win! But as a precautionary measure I've installed my imaginary brake pedal :D

Been out in an FN2 (newest CTR?) S2000 and EP3. Ohh and the last shape Accord Type S 2.4.
