Pretty much any weapon is on HC, hell slug shotguns and bolt-action sniper rifles 1 hit kill at all ranges. LMG just means you get a gigantic clip to make up for your missing and a stupidly accurate weapon if single shotted.
 
Ive only managed to play this game for 25h because 90% of the time its either:

  1. Laggy players with +150ms pings.... this game seems to lag like hell even I can only get 80 pings. I know its not critical but its annoying when sniping.
  2. Unbelievably stacked teams and major spawn camping.
  3. Being Carl Gustav'd, tubed non stop by talentless players.
  4. Very poor teamwork, no one playing their role.
  5. Lots of hacking - this game is rife i cant believe some servers.

I will persevere and keep playing, but this game is far from the COD killer that i was promised. :D
 
The hackers are appauling hackers in this game, but they do enough on occasion to get on your nerves.

Just gonna point out here that it's latency not ping before you try and blame your fail on it.

Its not really my fail its more of a general air of people being massive bullet sponges, more than im used to.

If you're coming from cod, it's cause your missing most of your shots, there's recoil and just because the hit marker is still up doesn't mean every shot is hitting just 1 every second or so.
 
The game is a real challenge compared to cod and I really can't wait until BF3, regardless of how close it is to BF2, as there is no doubt in my mind it will be much more fun than any new fps out for some time to come.

Anyway I lack friends to play BC2 with most of the time. Do any of you play together or use a specific server? I normally only play conquest non-hardcore as rush / hardcore are far too camper friendly for my tastes.
 
Far too much whining about hackers in this thread, in my 300+ hours of playing, i've encountered maybe 6 hackers who were freely playing on a server, and im sure they would have been punkbusted sooner rather than later. Most of the time hackers get banned as soon as they join the server, and very rarely are they undiscovered. Gotta laugh at some of the posts people whining about hackers with a 2:1 kd score, rofl, guess you aint seen real hackers, 50:1 would be more appropriate.

It all depends on how up to date PB is, if it's up to date, it will detect hackers.

They're little cracks in PB too that allow them to slip by undetected, and then that boils down to whether an admin is online and does their job.

Yep i agree, but the amount of undetected hackers is low, if you were to read through this thread it sounds like every 2nd player is a hacker, some people are just good at the game, they aint hacking!
 
The thing is, if you're just starting out on this game, it takes time to get used to how the game actually works. Most of the time, you have to accept they're better people out there than you, and there is always someone out there who can beat you.
 
I won't be going on old men gaming server again stupid server rules that auto kill you for the wrong reasons :(

Server rule.. no camping with recon kit or be auto killed.

I was a medic with a m14 and taking cover from camping snipers lol

Might of been a admin that auto killed me i don't know if a ranked server can do that.
 
personally seen 2 teleport hackers when that farce was about.

2 people i'm 100% certain where aim botting, 1 stood in valapraiso spinning round with an m60 getting headshot after headoshot though walls with every bulletleft server.


second guy was on oasis who was dodgy as hell hs people as they spawned then when i ran up behind him did a 180 so fast his character animation bugged hs me then 180 again an headshot another guy in the same burst of a m16, admin banned.


then I've seen about 1 person who was on my holy **** he's good/ wallhack but not aimbot.


but tbh i think he was just very good.


Other than that 100's of people i call dodgy **** to mates on mumble but know they're 100% not hacking :p


that's in 407+ hours

Out of the fps games i've played it's definitely had the least hackers I've seen aside from crysis mp, but that's only because i'm pretty sure only 5 people play it :p
 
You kids don't know nuffin about hacking these days :p

CS1.3 and the likes of OGC Hack... there were fewer people not hacking than there were hacking. :D
 
Aye, usually people with flying hacks or utter impossibly fast speed hacks were fun to watch for a bit. They could knife the entire opposition before the clock had ticked even one second.

edit: or the spectator hack.. which meant spectators could kill players whilst spectating.
