Test Drive 2 has been released & is available to download on steam

IIRC, you could sell cars to other people online in TDU1. Although it was fairly flawed, it's still better than not being able to sell at all until your garages are full....
 
I restarted my game twice, I had to restart a second time to get rid of Miami's car.

First car - Delta Lancia, then after winning both C4 tourneys, straight to the Italian car dealer for the 45k Alfa before doing Miami's challenge. Its really expensive for its class, and will soon be replaced by a cheaper and far better A6 Subaru, but it makes all the A7 stuff so much easier.

Even the cheaper A7 Alfa MiTo is better than the Golf GTI, because it doesnt have the handling problems.

At first I wanted the A6 Nissan because it looked sweet, but after test driving both the Nissan and Subaru, and also the A6 American car, the Subaru is far too much better than the other A6 cars to miss out on (better acceleration, better top speed, and easy peasy turning and handling).

Yea, I tried the C4 Lotus and Golf GTI on my first game, and I realised after playing again with the Lancia and 45k Alfa how huge a difference picking the better car makes.

I had to restart once because I made a noob purchase on the Lotus Evora, didnt need it at all, it just looked nice, and then I found out that you get one for free :mad:.

Then on my second go I ended up with Miami's horrid pink car stuck in my garage and didnt want to get rid of my Lancia for the Alfa :x
 
I hope it'll be you can sell cars for like 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999 and someone actually buys it.

Its a good game.

Its full of amazingly horrible and unbelievable bugs and inconveniences that just make you wonder what the developers were smoking during the beta stage to have missed all the blatantly obvious problems.

The only thing Im complaining about is my lack of pe order codes :x

Once the game is patched and fixed, it will be great.

I agree.

The game COULD be MUCH MUCH better but I think a lot of the issues are beyond "patching" and are flawed issues with the actual engine.

Game was developed by crack heads.

For example, the guy in charge of radio stations developed 2, got wasted and carried on doing something else.

We probably need a better studio and developer to make a game like this.

Open track online racing game with lots of cars, car shops, and a customisable avatar.

The idea of this game has so much potential, its far more interesting then games where all you do is select a car on the menu and then select a track to play on.

Many of the leaderboards are full of cheaters/hackers. The global casino board has someone with 48million+ which just isn't possible by now. The devs have said they are going to take action against these people once the initial bugs are sorted. I just hope they do it soon as it has only been out for a few days!

motorcity online has awesome tuning options , custum car parts etc and proper ebay style auction houses for cars and parts.


was like 8 years or so ago though so not openworld its amazing no one has done a proper online racing game like it again
 
Just got this game and installed it, Updater ran and downloaded a few bits and bobs but when I click 'Play' on the updater screen the updater just closes and nothing happens. Any clue as to whats up?

I looked in the TDU2 folder and my 'TestDrive2.exe' application is 0kb, is this normal?

You need to run the UpLauncher.exe
