Can anyone find this emotionally scarring TV ad?

When I was a little kid in the late 80s I was mentally scarred by what I believed at the time to be a message from the future. I was watching TV and the screen went fuzzy in the middle of a car commercial and a lady came on talking about it being broadcast from the future with a bunch of futuristic crap in the background, then it went back to normal TV.

I remembered it today and looked it up and it turned out to be a weird commercial by "first direct bank" that aired in 1989.

I've looked on google and youtube but cant find the advert, although there are tons from 1989. Did anyone else see it? Can anyone find a video of it?

That is a pretty cool concept and typical of First Direct. Always trying to do things differently and better.

I love my bank! :D

The only thing to scar me in that add is that Ronald McDonald lookalike. I hate clowns :(

I want my 3D holograms and floating orbs dammit!

I can tell you're young... Nobody loves their bank after they realise how much they get screwed by them.

And First Direct was basically just HSBC trying to save money by making people use branch-free banking (ie, internet+telephone only).

If that mentally scarred you be glad you didn't grow up in the '70s and had to watch ads like this on TV.
