Wow if that was to happen people can only imagine what kind of advertising wed get. AMD own ATI (They are the same company really) so the dell logo would be everywhere

Well this is interesting, see how it goes.

I don't know what Dell PCs are like and what Dell as a company are like. Haven't heard too many good things about them and thats from people who don't know much about what goes on inside the computer.

Rumours started when the CEO stepped down.

The other rumour is that ATIC is interested. Much more likely in my opinion

I reckon the most likely thing is that it's a rumour started to cast doubt before their new CPU line up is released, and basically scaremongering. Definitely don't want Dell owning them...

Interesting! Dell are king in the business world.

I dont think Intel would be to happy in loosing the 3rd worlds largest PC/Server vendor.

Well it's been so long since they released a new chipset so dell might be thinking, "What if we but AMD and release a crappy bulldozer and sell it for really high prices like we do with alienware."

ten talk with intel about charging even more for all stuff so they make more money..

till it gets to the point your basicaly buying a pile of dog poo n expecting it to run crysis 2...

Dislike Dell, like AMD. Will it be good for AMD? Yes, if Dell don't mess with them at all. But they will - why miss the wealth of opportunities that such a deal would present to them? So, if true, this is probably bad news, but really I have no idea how it'll actually turn out.
