We should put these up around the scummy estates to keep the scum in. (Although I would hope they would at least attempt to get out :p)

Also your troops may get annoyed when a city destroying missile explodes 50ft from the perimeter fence.

only on manned borders like the sk/nk DMZ though, you couldn't just leave these things in the country side without troops near by to defend them from thieves etc.

How will they know the difference between thieves and hill walkers?

Also they can't shoot straight down so just have to kill anyone who gets in a certain range?

Not to mention you may have trouble in the next election after your automated turrets mow down a bunch of civilians.

high powered machine guns and their ammunition would be worth a lot of money (let alone the tech part), there will be people willing to try, also they'd probably bring a ladder.

I do find it funny that BC is usually complaining about the government but supports automated killing machines on the beaches of the uk and summary execution for anyone who dares get too close.
