indeed similar guns have ben used on armoured vehicles for a while, i think the big thing though is the optics for tracking/finding targets.

while this is useful if you've got a heavily defended fenced and patrolled border like the Korean dmz it's not that useful for most other places outside of small military bases because you just couldn't put them near civilians nor ever leave them unattended/supervised.

radar guided though iirc, like i said before the main thing seems to be the the optics and the long range of the remote (like uav's)
