Londoners... Travel help!

Hey folks,

I'll likely be heading to London's West End for a weekend in a few weeks to cover a short film festival type deal, and am weighing up the cost/possibility of staying in a hotel vs. with relatives in Crouch End.

Thing is, the last film screening is at 9pm each night (including Sunday), which means that kicking out time will be after the last tube.

So, is it possible to get buses or any other kind of public transport from the Leicester Square/Piccadilly area to Crouch End -- most specifically, Hornsey Police Station?

The day is no problem as I'll just bus and tube it in, but getting back out of the city without the underground is something I have absolutely no familiarity with!

Alternatively, anyone living centrally fancy putting me up for a weekend?

TFL journey planner is your friend - stick in your address and a time when only night buses are running and you'll get a route.

Just taken a quick look, the N91 runs from Trafalgar Square (5 mins from Leicester Square) to Crouch End Broadway. Hopefully that should suffice?

So, half past midnight is definitely too late as the tube runs till then?

29 minutes average and it takes you exactly to where you want to go.

Thanks for that website, guys! Just what I needed.

I also didn't realise that the tube ran until half past midnight... I'll just have to curb weaseling my way into after parties etc, lol.

The best nights out are those where you're getting the morning tube home.

Get a hotel for the last night and go out after your finished all your work duties etc!!!

I might just do that, actually. Considering it's also my birthday weekend, I reckon I'm owed some time out!
