To the gym!!

Ive got my gym induction tonight and i can not wait!! Its time to turn around my view on exercise and eating for the better!! Im currently just under 15 stone at 5 foot 8 which is not good! :( Anytips on how to attack the first few sessions? Prob best to take it slow to start with but i just want to see the results as soon as possible!! :p
 
Clean up your diet, work out a good exercise program and stick at it with consistency.
You should see some results pretty quickly to begin with which will then start to slow don't get disheartened its just the way the body works.
 
So when my body slows down do i have to increase how much exercise i do? Or reduce the amount i eat?

Personally I'd up the amount of exercise you do first before lowering the amount you eat, a good guide to stick to is create no more than a 500kcal deficit through diet and make up the rest through increased activity.
Theres no need to worry about the minor nuts and bolts at the moment though as you may just end up bogging yourself down and over complicating things just workout hard and eat well and you will see good results.
 
Go have your induction, listen to the person giving it.

I know it sounds mad but my aim is to lose weight and take part in the London to Brighton bike ride, see it as my goal!! Ive done the downs link cycle track which killed me, though im very unfit! :p 1 step at a time mind! :D

Just make sure you tell them your goals and be honest about your abilities and they will put you on a good starting point.
