How much ram is enough?

Hi all again, is 4gb ddr3 1600 ram enough or should I get more?

For a gaming pc, 4Gb is enough.

For a pc used for video editing/music production, 8Gb is better

It all depends what you use your PC for, also what OS are you using 32 bit or 64 bit?

4gb if the right amount for gaming anything from 8-16gb would just be a waste unless the pc is used for HD video editing

Indeed, 4G is normally enough for most people, I've been on 4 for a couple of years now and havent needed to get any more. Seems to of reached a bit of a plateau in terms of uping RAM

I'm running win7 64 bit. Thanks for comments. Btw would I need more than 700 w for sly 2x480?

yes.

you need a 850w+ psu from a good brand(Corsair/Bequiet/Antec etc).

Anyway, to the OP, the very last PSU I linked too is good/cheapest, if you have a case big enough to hide all the cables that come off it?

Lol thanks guys. I am changing fans in the case to try and reduce noise. Gonna be tough with the 480 I know! Should I go larger than 850?

Nothing uses more power than SLI GTX480, unless your thinking Tri-SLI? lol

Although this 950w psu - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-023-CS&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1084 is cheaper than the 850w modular psu's above.

It's all going in antec 1200 case, so should fit. Should I sell the 480 and get another card? ( which one) I also have 2 x 280 in the boxes, sell them too?

Dont sell it, its only 10% slower than a GTX580 which is the fastest.

add a GTX280 for PhysX?
