Hmm. we have teachers in Muslim schools beating and throwing chairs at the kids as seen on the recent C4 documentary and nothing is done whatsoever but an english woman gets banned for two years for using air freshener, sounds about right for the PC mad house we call Britain.

Maybe you ought to go back to school, as apparently your reading comprehension isn't up to much.

Although it is gratifying to have predicted that this sort of nonsense would GT posted.

Well that's nothing to do with ethnicity, at least not directly, would be like saying all Italian people smell like ragu.

ofcourse it has nothing to do with race, im sure if some white kid ate loads of food contained garlic they would be sprayed to.

curry powder seaps out of your skin like garlic does.

the biggest problem is likely to be the school uniforms are left to dry near the kitchen and all the curry fumes get infused into the clothes

TBH she was harshly treated, and who can blame her for not wanting to smell people whose parents send them to school unwashed.

Not a very tolerant person - kids are dirty and stink more often than not, seems not cut out to be around them.

I'm sure we've all had colleagues that stink a bit (even if it's just when they come in from a smoke) but we don't go spraying air freshener everywhere. I'm unsure if the race thing is relevant though, she just sounds like she hates children and quite possibly people in general.

I like the fact that all of the media are focusing on the racial element of her spraying air freshener at Asian children, and mostly ignoring the larger problem that she let soiled children stay dirtied and standing on newspaper until their parents arrived.

That treatment would appear to be the real defining reason that she should be sacked, not the relatively light act of spraying air freshener.

If this is the same woman I read about, she also mistreated a white kid after he wet himself - called his mother and made him stand on cardboard until she picked him up... Don't know why this is being turned into a racial thing.

Could be this

Teaching assistant Wendy Roe alleged she used the words "black ********" in a low whisper on more than one occasion. Asked if she thought Davies was discriminating against the children on the grounds of their race, Roe said: "I think so. I feel she had a problem with them."

The disciplinary panel chair, Peter Williams, said there was insufficient evidence to say that Davies used the term "black ********".
