I am now forever going to wonder who it was and what he said!

It was Cupra and Locky, once again dragging you into a thread that you had no involvement in.

Neither of them liked being pulled up for their linglong trolling and mentioned something about only BMWs and Fords being okay and no one is allowed an opinion..

A colleague of mine today, just replaced his slick Pirelli P6000's (he said it was a battle just keeping the car on the road lol) with Uniroyal Rain Sport 2.
They were £60 each (205/55/16) and he's said the difference was immense already - although coming from bald P6000's I'm sure the rims would have been grippier.

They get good reviews on tyrereviews website so maybe look into them?
Not sure if they the same as the Rainexperts in the quote

The rainexpert is essentially the budget version of the rainsport2's.

To put this into correct context - Locky never mentioned anything about TW Fox.

The tread was derailed by 3 people. I removed lots and lots of posts in this thread. I didn't suspend any members for this.

But after cleaning the thread I ended up banning one person for reposting a thread after I deleted his post (which was deemed unneccessary about another member who wasn't even involved in the thread.) That post was then reposted - he knew his post was deleted and continued to repost. He was given a lovely 2 day February holiday in the sun.

i have uniroyal rainsports on my fiesta ST and they have been fairly good allrounders

not brilliant at anything but they were on the car when i got it so i cant really compare

at the moment i am looking at two brands

Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110
Yokohama Parada Spec 2

both of these are high on the adgenda and quite reasonably priced.
Gibbo is swaying me more towards the hankooks at the moment as are most of the ST forum members.
you should be ok on the Toyos but im far from the expert. it depends how spirited you will be driving and if you are just putting new tryes on to get by or if you want them for pure performance.

Its a mix of piece of mind knowing its on good rubber and wanting a little more grip. I'm not going to be pushing it to the limit with the massive 55bhp on tap and I'm after a balance between replacing the crap thats on it at the moment and something thats going to give better feel and more grip.
