Hey, so I preordered the Gigabyte Super Overclocked 560Ti two weeks ago and it's finally arrived. I'd thought I would share pictures of unpacking and installation :D

Here is the box - Shiny and ubercool looking:
Its sitting in front of my Samsung P2450H and an Antec 300 case which has dust trapped in the filter :p

Inside the box is errr... another box:

Inside that box is my pretty card:

The card also came with:
1x mini-HDMI to HDMI cable
1x DVI-D to RGB Adapter
2x Molex to PCI-E Adapter
1x Driver Disc and Installation Manual

Here is my PC before installation:
The specs are in my signature

Removed my old His ATI Radeon 5770 and compared it against the GTX 560Ti:

Installed into my Antec 300:

Hooked it up to my PSU (Antec TruePower 650W):

Up and running with latest drivers :D

It is so much quieter than the 5770 which was a pain in the arse when playing games. Plus it runs cooler! My 5770 use to idle at 49C and whilst on load it would hit 69-70, whereas the 560 idles at 29C and at load its 56C.

I've only played Mass Effect 2. I haven't seen what its like on other games yet.

Well in some of the benchmarks I've seen, the performance is similar to the GTX 570 - but in other areas its not. Also, its quicker than 480 stock and quieter/cooler.

Nice new upgrade but I disagree that that style of 5770 cooler is loud ? my sapphire one looks a similar design didn't you set the fan to 40-50% ? when I run mine clocked at 960 1300 I set the fan to 45% and it never goes much above 60c gaming load.

If you don't set the fan it will just go full whack when it needs to not that that matters now.

Nice card :) I had a Gigabtye GTX 470 SOC before upgrading to a 580 but the 470 was a great card. Enjoy ;)

Just out of interest, why is the rear 120mm fan removed in your Antec 300??

I didn't set the fan to 45%, just after I exited a game I see the fan speed drop from 70% when the temps were high so I think it was needed. However there was quite a bit of dust in the cooling fins.

I bought some fan silencing rubber mounts and thought I would install them with my card.

ARGH cable management!

Otherwise, tasty card - really need to swap out my 4870 lol. Be interesting to see what sort of improvements you get compared to your previous card, the 5770 pretty much matches the 4870 on performance, if not a tad better.

nice pics mate :). I bought a GTX560Ti recently but the MSI Twin Frozr II version, overclocked to 1000mhz stock voltages and the thing flies. Great investment :)

I'm on the lookout for one of these but all I can find is pre-order?

Yeh, they're pretty hard to come by. I pre-ordered mine two weeks ago on a competitiors site for £225. OcUK had stock and were selling them at £250 a week ago which was extortionate. I believe all the stock of these cards are going to customers who preordered first, so you may have to wait.

Fair enough. I didn't see OcUK having them though, seems they took them down again as soon as they ran out of stock?

In Metro 2033, I ran Ultra High Settings, AAA, 4x AF, PhysX off, DX11 at 1080p and I got around 33fps average. With everything high including 8x MSAA and Physx on, I got average 20fps. It looked amazing, much better than my existing Radeon 5770. The graphics and enviroment looked a lot smoother with MSAA enabled.

I started Crysis Warhead and put everything on the enthusiast option and it looked really nice. I didn't record FPS but there appeared to be no slow down.

There appeared to be no difference between 5770 or 560Ti in Mass Effect 2 with everything maxed out.
