Call of Duty: Black Ops

i aimed in there direction lol,i used the force and took advantage of the homing tomohawks,you can buy those tomohawks off the internet if you wanted one to throw about
 
I am having some horrible ping-related problems.

Is this to be expected on a virgin cable line? I have my xbox connected through my laptop but no apparent problems during the day :/

I think it's a bit cheeky if they're advertising console gaming on their website and then not providing a service suitable enough to play properly during peak times...
 
I'm having trouble with Virgin atm too, it happens every time they 'upgrade' they up the speeds but not the UBR until later. It happened to me going from 512k to 1meg, 1meg to 2, all the way up to my current 20. They sent me a letter asking me to upgrade to the great 30meg for a one off fee of £30 !!
They may as well have said "give me £30 or else"
 
Well right now I'm lucky to get into a game at all and when I connect I spend half of the match warping everywhere with a connection interrupted flashing at me :(

Oddly enough my ping when running speed tests is 25-40ms, which makes me think it's a problem between my laptop and xbox, but it only occurs at night...
 
Probably making all the weapons even more similar than they are now :mad:

In all seriousness though the only good category of weapon is AR in this game, the others suck beyond belief atm other than the AK74.

I agree with that. I don't bother with SMG's anymore as they just don't have enough power in them. I pretty much just use the enfield,galil or ak47 now.

I wish they would bring stopping power back just for that reason. Infact it should make a return so as unconfident players had that little extra boost. Instead all they seem to do now is rely on the replacement tools i.e. Ghost/motion sensor/claymore sitting.

Balance doesn't necessarily make the game even it just means good players are better and bad players are worse. I saw 1 guy in a TDM lobby the other night with a 0.18 KDR and a .21W/L. I regularly see people with KDR and WL's south of .40 even prestige players. Unfortunately Balance in this game seems to not be quite right.
 
The problem with this game,and every other COD,is lag.
The weapons probably wouldn't be so bad if everybody was on a level playing field. When I play I can have one game where my gun kills everybody in a few rounds.The next game,the same weapon does nothing at all.
 
Last game I had I got 3 hit markers with the l96 on the upper body and they still went into last stand. Sometimes I get 4 or 5 hit markers when using the famas with a silencer and end up getting killed, others I can kill on 2 shots or miss badly with the l96 and get a Oneshot. Nuts.

Totally agree mate, I mean I don't understand how Treyarch made the hit detection worse than CoD4, I mean they really deserve a medal for achieving that!:D
 
Pulling host could make a man quit this game, why is it so inconsistent when you pull host? I swear the usual aim assist just doesn't work when you get host, I'm sure it varies from game to game depending on who you are playing but the difference is night and day.
 
Well I managed the last two throwbacks for Flak Jacket Pro via the Sniper Tower on Rifle Range. I just sat in there with Tactical Mask Pro and Motion sensor shooting passers by.

Pity I only have 50K to enjoy it.
