TBH she was harshly treated

Hahaha, what a load of toss. She's lucky not to have been banned from teaching full stop.

There's plenty of white people I know who smell of garlic regardless of whether they wash or not.

I love the way that this has been picked up by the media and th relevant facts of the case thrown aside because of the different cultural types involved.

Lets get some facts straight.

That article is lying. There I said it. Its a lie. The teacher in question never sprayed directly at the children, just in a big circular motion in the air. They enjoyed it and for some of the unruly mob that go to that school it was the only way to get their attention without clouting them.

The teacher in question never said anything like "black ********" The teaching assistant in question is shall we say vexed at her own personal hygiene being called into question and has a grudge against the teacher. The judge knew this, they aren't stupid. Thats the reason it was discredited, because again it was a pack of lies by the teaching assistant, who hopefully will never find employment in a position of trust.

As for the child who wet themselves and was made to stand on paper, what would you do? What can you do? The incident happened 5 minutes or so before hometime, no point in ringing the parents as they would already be there. There are no spare clothes for the children to change into and you aren't allowed to help them change either way, especially when you know there is someone with a grudge who will stop at nothing to discredit you.

The disinfectant is a moot point also. When you have children potting seedlings and getting earth under and on their hands, soap and water won't cut it.

Now, how utterly stupid do you feel for grossly over reacting when you have heard the truth rather than a newspaper article from what can only be described as a comic without a red title.

It's nothing to do with being unwashed. Your pores secrete what you've eaten or drank the night before hence some people might smell of garlic/onions or others who have been out for a ruby might smell of curry. Many alcoholics smell of alcohol the next day as they sweat it out, even if they shower.

Just to point out that this isn't a case of pupils being unwashed. Diet can drastically affect the way people smell, particularly those with strong spices - an Indian friend of mine at secondary school always had a faint odour of curry about him. It permeates the body and leaks out of the pores - showering before going to school isn't going to change that come midday.

Edit: Beaten

and why should we take your word random man on the internet that this is the truth?

Just wanted to ask...

All you guys saying that your bodies smell of what you ate the night before the next day despite showering...

Er...

Did you ever suggest deodorant to any perpetrators? (It ain't expensive)

So what people are arguing is that Asians are just as hygienic as white people? I think their toilet habits would suggest otherwise.
