Going to view 2 of these tomorrow at a local dealers (independent), just wondering if anyone has had one and if there is anything glaring that should be asked? ie the brakes are shot after x miles, when were they last done? And also general thoughts if you have had one etc.

Something like that, im no expert. Im at my wits end now with cars having to go the 7 seat route, the Q7 is my last resort... ive had a couple of 2nd hand 7seaters (other makes) in the past year and they have been money down the drain.

Being a snob :o I need something that looks a bit tasty and I think the Q7 is the only 7 seater that will do the job for me :(

I had one for a very short while, lovely car to drive, looks nice and people respect it as a decent motor, I had to get rid of it for two reasons:

HUGE thing to park, I'm not a bad parker by any stretch of the imagination, I was a HGV driver for a short while so used to parking artic's but the Q7 takes the biscuit.

TINY space inside, especially in the rear.

If you need 7 seats then there really is no choice but to go to a Land Rover dealership, or the new XC90 is better looking than the older ones?

The Audi really is woefully lacking in space. You get more interior room in a Porsche Cayenne.

Spie has a couple and rates them pretty highly I believe. Very rare is it that I see one on the roads though.

I haven't driven one but didn't they get slaughtered on top gear....not that what they say is gospel!

they slated how pointless the top of the range Audi Q7 V12 tdi model is.

For the lower end models to drive about in day to day they are excellent.

Excellent cars IMO. Don't make a bad 7 seater, but a RR Vogue/Discovery would be a better choice if you wanted the space and went off-roading often.
