Is overclocking worth decreasing the life of your PC Parts?

if you can get a 26% increase in performance from a component without affecting its normal operating temperature (because the build up of heat is what damages the components not the voltage) then you would be silly not to monopolise on that facility.

in my case: msi gtx 460 786mb cyclone edition.

its like getting free upgrades except normally overclocking utilises much improved cooling methods over stock cooling

And you seem to think 2.8GHZ to 4.16GHZ is 560MHZ...
