1gb HD5770 or 768mb GTX460?

Basically I'm looking to play games such as bad company 2 at 1400x900 at medium to high at a good fps.

It'll be in a system with a X4 955 Black edition and 4gb ddr3 ram. One important thing to note is that I only have a 400w psu. The psu is a Corsair cx-400 so it'll probably be ok. Apart from the parts mentioned all I will have is a dvd player and a 300gb hdd.

So which would be best for my system, the hd5770 or gtx460?

I'm on a bit of a budget so I'm leaning towards the hd 5770.

What are your thoughts?
 
460 for sure. By far the better card. It'll use about 150W at load which will be fine for your system and PSU.

GTZ 460 is much better, make sure you have 2x PCI-E power connectors on that PSU though otherwise you may need an adapter to turn two molex into one PCI-E connector.

Ive got that PSU in my server but i dont remember if it has two or not.
 
I would go for 460. I know £20 is a lot but in the long run, if it stops you from buying a new card again sooner, it's money well spent IMHO
