Teacher doesn't like smelling children, gets banned.

If he does, and that is not what he actually stated, it is because people like you keep pointing it out to him, making an issue of his differently coloured skin, and generally being a complete pratt to people simply because they have a different coloured skin or different ethnicity.

I suspect you would be the same with me.

Reading the thread impartially, I thought it was quite clear what you said and Biohazard was being pretty petty and insulting.
 
I think she would have been better off with one of those automated air-fresheners in her classroom instead of spraying the actual Children; but I don't condone her actions against the Children, it did made me laugh when I first read it!

I can understand the satisfaction in forcing intolerant people to tolerate things.
 
So is it a stereo type or is it a fact that a large number of Bangladeshi kids smell?

And is it fair that they can traipses this into school forcing everyone to have to smell it too?

Are they even aware of the smell and if so what measures do they take to reduce the impact on others?

The fact is that ALL people smell to one degree or another, diet, hygiene, environment all dictate how an individual will smell.

Spraying kids with air fresheners is pretty bad and I understand why she got sacked but there is no need to make it a racial thing, A teaching assistant said she "may" have whispered "black ********" but the disciplinary panel did say there was insufficient evidence, so we can forget about that,

She just sprayed the ones that smelled, leave race out of it

From experiance however i can say that most probably they do NOT know they smell so strongly of spices. There was one girl at school i went to that was smelling so strong you couldn't get with 3 feet of her before you felt like you were chocking, that's pretty rare through

It is called olfactory saturation. One Asian girl smells of spices, another white girl smells of BO, does that mean all Asians smell of curry and all white people smell of sweat......of course not.

That is how some people here are portraying Asians however.

As was pointed out, Japanese think we smell of sour milk.


Either way it is not acceptable to go around spraying people with air-freshener. Would you like it?, what would the other kids in the school done and said to you if you were the victim of such a teacher?
