I'm doing a big server migration this weekend and have stumbled up against a problem. I've got a couple of machines that use Sage 50 Payroll and they point to data located on a server. This server location has now changed but I can't seem to find how to change where the software is looking, the browse button is greyed out. I'm sure it must be an ini file or something but I'm running out of time to get the rest of this network up and running before tomorrow so I can't afford to spend any more time trying to sort this.

If anyone has a account, could you take a look at the link below and let me know the answer :)

Many thanks :)

Look in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sage\Accounts\2008 for a file called company. Open with notepad and you can edit the path in there I believe.

I don't have the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sage\Accounts\2008 directory. It only goes as far as the sage level and that's it.

Google cache used to be a good trick but it doesn't seem to work anymore.

Worked fine for me? Just read the answer on there, and I 've not got an account. Scroll right to the bottom.

One of the answers suggests this site: http://support.makingithappen.co.uk/guides/find_data.htm
