I don't think everyone hates it :p there will always be a few who don't understand, but I think a lot of people are shocked how much you're paying to insure it though

yer but i mean tbh the insurance prices for me on any car are ridiculous atm.
the £2800 is actually with my parents on as secondary drivers :/
but yer im transferring it to the SXI because i just dont need a 1.5l

22, male, 2 years no claims bonus, license held for two years - Ford Focus ST3 (standard) - £1650 fully comp with Admiral :)

Well I'm 26 and in November I paid £280 for my little Toyota iQ and £320 for my Caterham. Both fully comp. I do about 5k a year in the iQ and the 7 is unlimited. Can't complain really ;)

22, Micra 1.0 litre, £375 fully comp, £150 vol. excess, with Elephant.

Around £1100 for my Clio with all mods declared. 25 Full no claims.

The RS Clios have silly insurance prices!

Really? I ran a quote for when I turn 23 this year and it was just shy of £700, fully comp!

Its doesnt matter how old you are its all down to where you live tbh. If I live 4 miles east from where I am now my insurance drops by £500.

IMO it shouldnt matter where you live unless you have had an accident that was your fault. I understand that you might be more likely to have accident but I have had 1 in 5 years of driving and it wasnt my fault and I didnt claim for any injuries cause I had none. I would understand if it were my fault cause the companies would want their money back somehow.

I pay through the roof due to those who dont drive with insurance and the ammount of false claims in the city I live in. If the law was firmer and clamped down I wouldnt have to pay for those ***** who dont care.

If you got caught with no insurance then you should face gaol time. Also you shouldnt be able to buy a car without insurance and a license. If you did then you and whoever sold it to you should be fined and again face a gaol sentence. It would help drive down the cost and stop.
People making false claims for injuries would be hard to stop due to most things can be faked like back and neck pain. There should be a variety of tests to evaluate the amount of pain someone has. Then the Doctors could tell their findings to the insurers and decide whether its worth the claim.

Young drivers get a hard deal as it is. Granted some do deserve it but others like myself who are paying £1500 a year on a Fiesta ST and on a 1.25 Fiesta its £1000 a year, its kinda taking the ****. People can argue the point why dont you save that £500 and go on holiday or something. I say why not pay the £500 extra on a car I like rather than £1000 on a car I dont.
Im not saying I drive like a nun and are the perfect driver but when I have 4yrs NCB and Im still paying over a £1000 I do think something is wrong with the system and something needs to be changed.
