Hows that?

if you used this faster Phenom 955be cpu - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-244-AM&groupid=701&catid=6&subcat=1943

the total price is £504.06

also is geforce better than ati at the mo then for the price?

well if you keep the slower cpu.

you could get a 5850 - http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/164?vs=156

But the Phenom 955be cpu is faster, not just in clock speed, but also it has a full 6MB of L3 cache on die memory.

i what if i change the gfc to a 5770 and get a better mb for bout £60?

But its a gaming rig, a 5770 is significantly slower than a GTX460/ATI 5850.

A £60 motherboard wont offer anything extra over the ASUS £45 above, the cheapest motherboard that has any extra features such as SATA and USB3.0 is £72
