Had a couple of BSOD on my system recently.

Running 2 x G580 GFX in SLI, running driver 266.58 on WIN XP
Does not BSOD in games, just after watching media video files, via Media player or quicktime.

BSOD is always on NV4, probley a case of reinstalling the GFX drivers under clean...

Just wondered if anyone else had any...

OMG you running 2x GTX580s in Windows XP....

That should be banned...

You NEED Windows 7.

LOL :D

That's what I was thinking as soon as I read the OPs post.

Sorry to hear about your BSODs, they are never nice to get.

Though as suggested, try getting a more recent OS if you can. At least with Win 7 you'll be able to enjoy DX11... ;)

I have Win 7 64 Ultimate as well. But need to use Win XP for somethings.
But only getting BSODs under XP...

Did not say about Win 7 as it was not relevent.

3dMark11(Registered Copy) P10426 in SLI mode...

So do you get the BSOD when watching online media, like on YouTube or something, or is it just when using Media Player or Quicktime. Perhaps there is an issue with your codecs?

You are probably getting the BSOD because of the memory limitations of a 32bit operating system, you may need windows XP 64bit to cure the problem.

I had 2 x 480 GFX with 1536Mb in SLI was fine.

I now have 2 x 580 GFX with 1536Mb in SLI, get BSODs...
I am going to reinstall the nvidia driver with clean settings..

Exactly what I was thinking, XP can only access 4gig of memory address space and that includes the memory on adapter cards. In your case you are losing 3 gig of your addressable space straight away to your video cards. I would imagine the drivers are having a hell of a time fighting the OS to try and grab some adressable space.

Wrong all of you.

Just done a reload of the lastest drivers with Clean install, and it now works...

But thanks for your ideas...
