I built a system about 4 weeks ago built around a P8P67 Pro and a 2500k. My system has been working fine till yesterday where upon starting my system the green light came on the board as usual then the two red lights came on the board then went off, but after that nothing happens. I've tried resetting the cmos with the battery removed, moving the graphics card to different slots, also tried moving the memory, I tried a couple of hard resets as I have seen suggested in other posts and I've tried leaving it on for an hour to see if it starts after a bit of a warm up. Gonna borrow a gpu from a mate to rule out that but I'm sure it's the mobo cause I've read elsewere that people are having problems. Can anyone think of anything I have missed which could help, or should I rma the mobo and get a different make (are they ok here for doing that). Thanx in advance

IVE HAD SIMILAR PROBS WITH MY DELUXE BUT MINE GETS STUCK ON VGA LED, RMA IT TODAY. YOU COULD TRY PRESSING DOWN ON BUTTON NEAR RAM FOR 3 SEC'S SEE IF THAT HELPS ALSO CHECK ALL CABLES BECAUSE WHEN I FIRST BUILT MINE I HAD BLACK SCREEN TURNS OUT IT WAS POWER CABLE TO MY XONAR D2X SOUND CARD WASNT IN PROPLY.

cheers mate, gonna try my mates gpu as there is a green light on the board next to the graphics card and I cannot remember if it was on when it did work (I think it was) heard loads of people on here say they have problems with asus boards gonna ask if I can get a different make in return

Did you get your board sorted chrisarm? Turned on my P8P67 this morning and im getting the usual blank screen other people are getting. The lights and fans spin up as normal but no post for me?

Ive looked at a similar thread in this forum, which also links to a thread on the Asus forums about clearing CTRL CMOS with jumper settings but still no luck :(

looks like Im going to have to RMA the board, how did you get on?

No joy yet gonna phone overclockers on monday about it, sounds like your having the same problem as me. Bit worried cause I'm over the 28 days for returns (got it 30 days ago typical), just have to see what they say. I just hope I can change it for a different make mobo cause I really don't fancy another ASUS.

Just to keep people informed, after hours of fiddleing and almost giving up, I decided to pull out the 8 pin connector to the motherboard and then plugged it back in and voila it turned on!!??

The connector had certainly not come loose as I could see it was clipped in.

The board is on its final warning now, any more mishaps and Im gonna send it back.

good news :) love a happy ending

Ok no problem will just order one, problem shouldn't affect me really. I will have two drives on a raid 0 in two of the 6gbps ports and will be adding an SSD later on the marvel 6gbps port then DVD drives can go on the problem ports, that sound about right?

Finally got an email yesterday from overclockers to say that my motherboard was sent back to ASUS to be repaired. Guess I'm without my PC for another week DOH!
